Nina to attend 2015 End Violence Against Women International Conference

Nina Salarno Besselman will be speaking on April 9 at the 2015 End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI) Conference in New Orleans.

Nina’s presentation, titled “Utilizing Marsy’s Law, the four court system and creative recovery solutions to assist victims of crime in a court of law,” will address enforcing victims’ rights and promoting advocacy in a court of law.

On October 1, 1985 Karen Severson was convicted of murder after she assaulted, battered, tortured, disfigured, maimed and murdered her so-called friend, Michele “Missy” Avila, in the Angeles Crest National Forest, near the City of Los Angeles.
